Their foreheads are firmly pressed together in a meeting of minds, while their stance oscillates between combative and passionate, a confrontation and a kiss. There are no other figures present within the composition and both protagonist and seraph are completely consumed by the hazy flames. The inferno reaches its white-hot peak where the two intertwine.
