Intricately decorated architectural works are new to Naudline Pierre’s practice, and in Give Me Freedom, Give Me Love Everlasting, 2022, the central figure is draped across the interior of an apse-like structure. Her glowing green hue instantly attracts attention as it lights the scene from within. She is raised up by an army of seraphs, lifting her almost out of view and into another realm. As one moves around the structure it reveals itself to the viewer.
