Naudline Pierre’s Fire Storm, 2022 depicts a flock of winged figures falling through an ashen sky. The broad brush strokes evoke a strong sense of movement. Each figure has the face of a woman and the feathered wings of a bird, bat, or an angel. Many of the winged figures are consumed by flames, which for Pierre often appear as agents of change and transformation.
