He serves almost as a John the Baptist figure and was rumored to have great powers. Among these powers was the power to command the celestial bodies themselves.
The composition of "The Sun passed through his body," 2022, borrows from traditional images of the Egyptian goddess Nut, who similarly is depicted as eating the sun each evening and giving birth to the sun each morning.Provenance
