She appears to be euphoric,...In I Dreamed of Love, 2021-2022, Pierre’s protagonist is swept up in a great mass of feathers, suspended in a dream-like state with eyes half-open. She appears to be euphoric, caught between two realms: sleeping and waking. Curled into a fetal position, she clutches a small bodiless cherub close to her chest as the flames of change encircle her. The viewer is left to wonder if she loved, and has lost, or still dreams of love yet to come.Exhibitions
