Gill spent several days living..."Birth Series" is sold as a set of 8 photographs. The images depict a skilled midwife in action in a remote village in Motasar, Ghafan. Gill spent several days living with Kasumbi Dai, a respected midwife, who invited Gill to photograph her delivering her granddaughter. In the process, GIll both photographed the scene unfolding and ended up assisting with the birth. Kasumbi Dai passed away in 2010.Exhibitions
